Not sure which ENGO blister patch to use? Here’s how to pick the right one
ENGO patches are a simple and effective way to prevent blisters. But with different shapes and sizes available, it’s easy to wonder which one’s right for you.
To make life easier, we’ve put together a quick guide to help you match the right patch to the right problem, whether you’re breaking in new shoes, protecting your heels, or staying comfortable on long hikes.
Small oval patch – for toe boxes and straps
- Best for the side or front of the toe box
- Also great for high heels or strappy sandals
- Ideal when you need something compact that fits tight spaces
Large oval patch – for general foot friction
- A versatile option for calluses or blisters from heel to toe
- Can be used on the heel, ball of the foot or toes
- For heel use, apply vertically and wrap slightly over the top to stop your sock from catching
Heel patch – for the back of shoes
- Designed to reduce rubbing in the back of athletic shoes, boots or dress shoes
- If your shoes are padded, place them just above the heel ridge
- Use a shoehorn to help avoid snagging when putting your shoes on
Rectangle patch – trim to fit larger areas
- Ideal for boots, skates, helmets or any larger area where friction builds up
- Can be cut to fit exactly where you need it
- Trim it slightly larger than the sore spot, and round the corners so it stays in place better
Pro tip: placement is everything
ENGO patches should be applied to footwear or orthotics, not your skin. This allows them to reduce friction right where it starts, keeping your skin safe and blister-free.
