Are you applying ENGO patches correctly? Here’s how to make them work for you

Blisters are a pain - literally. That’s why ENGO patches exist. But if you’re sticking them in the wrong spot (or the wrong way), you won’t get the relief they’re designed to provide. Here’s how to get it right.

Why placement matters

ENGO patches are designed to go on your footwear or orthotic, not your skin. They work by creating a low-friction surface exactly where rubbing happens, so your skin doesn’t suffer. Think of it this way: you're fixing the shoe, not the foot.

How to apply them properly

1. Find the friction point

Where are you getting hot spots or blisters? The patch needs to go inside the shoe.

2. Clean the area

Wipe the surface clean and dry before applying. That helps the patch stick firmly.

3. Peel and stick

Choose the size that covers the area comfortably. Peel the backing, press it down, and smooth out any bubbles.

4. Test it

Walk around a little. If it still rubs, adjust the placement. You might need to reposition or add a second patch.

Still getting blisters? A few things to check:

- Are you applying them to your skin? (Don’t!)

- Is the patch secure and flat?

- Did you clean the shoe surface first?

Bonus tip for orthotic users

If you wear insoles or custom orthotics, you can apply ENGO directly onto the area of the insole causing friction. That means extra comfort where you need it most, without affecting your fit.
